CELESTYAL CRUISES

According to Industry Representatives, “Alongside the added value it creates, there is no other tourism product that successfully combines history, culture, nature, gastronomy, and quality service as effectively as cruise tourism… This statement particularly applies at prevailing prices.”

 Experts’ Views

“A cruise trip or a vacation at a resort hotel? A cruise trip or a cultural tour? Or a cruise trip or an international trip? According to sector professionals, when comparing these options, it becomes clear that cruise travel has many advantages.”

Misconceptions and Realities of Cruise Travel

Factors such as language barriers, incorrect information about ships rocking, or the perception that cruise vacations are for the elderly, or the belief that people will get bored on the ship, can negatively affect demand for cruises. However, we see today that the global average age of cruise passengers is around 45-46. Getting bored on a ship is less likely because there is so much to do. For those who want to swim, there are programs; for those interested in history or nature, there are programs. For example, tourists on ships docking at Galataport (in Istanbul) can choose from 28 different programs offered by agencies, ranging from gastronomy to entertainment, city tours to cultural and artistic activities. Passengers can decide how much to enjoy each aspect. The same is true for the Aegean Islands. For instance, a cruise company may take its guests to Mykonos or Santorini, where they can swim, have a nice dinner, watch the sunset, and enjoy the nightlife.

“You can do a Cruise Trip for 100 Euros a Night”

Experts emphasize that cruise trips are also much more economical, saying, “We see how hotel prices have risen. Right now, there is no cruise trip you cannot do for 100 euros a night. Companies offer flexible programs both in terms of budget and time. There are 3, 4, and 7-night options, starting at 249 euros.”

“Cruise Vacations Are Currently Cheaper Than Hotel Vacations”

Cruise vacations are currently cheaper and more advantageous than hotel vacations. For example, 7-night programs can start at 549 euros. This price includes full-board accommodation, drinks at meals, travel health insurance, a shore excursion worth approximately 75 euros, and guiding services. A week-long hotel vacation of the same standard currently costs at least 100,000 Turkish liras per person. Moreover, traveling is a form of culture. You also get the chance to experience the history, culture, and gastronomy of different countries on the same trip.
