Finance Minister’s fight against inflation: Minister finds those who increase car prices

Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati said that the 100 thousand taxpayers who caused an unfair price increase in the motor vehicle sector were caught in the ‘RADAR’ system of the ministry.

Despite the official inflation, which is based on 80 percent, the Central Bank (CB) is developing different methods to cope with the price crisis due to the fact that the President Tayyip Erdogan insists on keeping interest rates at 14 percent.

Nebati said in a speech last week in which he explained his fight against inflation that they would apply discounted prices on more than 30 basic consumer goods in Agricultural Credit Cooperative markets, and said that they wanted chain markets to follow this.

Although the discount remains well below expectations, Nebati, who suggests that inflation is due to ‘inflated’ prices in food, automotive and real estate, continues his work.

Today, he also said that his ministry has also taken action for those who negatively affect the vehicle sector by inflating prices, after the real estate sector.
