PKK attack on the border in two cities: 1 soldier killed, 4 soldiers wounded

PKK/YPG terrorists attacked Çiçekalan Border Police Station in Birecik district of ŞANLIURFA (URFA) and Karkamış district of GAZIANTEP with mortars and rockets. While one soldier was killed in the rocket attack on Çiçekalan, four soldiers were also injured. Turkish force retaliated immediately by artillery units, 13 terrorists were neutralized.

A rocket attack was carried out by a terrorist organization on the Cicekalan Border Police Station in the Birecik district of Sanliurfa. While 5 soldiers who were injured as a result of the attack were taken to the hospital by helicopters and ambulances and treated, the Turkish Armed Forces put terrorist targets under intense fire after the attack.

Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan announced that 1 soldier injured in the attack was martyred.

MORTAR ATTACK ON KARKAMIS

A mortar attack was also carried out by terrorists from the Ayn al-Arab region of Syria, controlled by the terrorist organization PKK / YPG, on the Karkamis district of Gaziantep. While 6 mortar shells fell on empty land, there was unrest in the district. After the attack, public warning announcements were made on loudspeakers. The terrorists in the area of the attack were responded by the border troops with artillery shots.

Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul, who made a statement on his social media account, stated that the attack was retaliated immediately, sharing following, “A mortar shell was fired at our Karkamis district by the terrorist organization PYD / YPG. There are no dead or injured. The attack was responded to with equal force,” he shared.
