Financial Markets in Turkey: Which investment instrument yielded returns in week 46?

This week (week 46), gold, stock market, and the dollar yielded returns as investment instruments. The BIST 100 index on the Istanbul Stock Exchange completed the week with a gain of 1.06% at 7,853.36 points. During the week, the index reached its lowest at 7,520.02 points and its highest at 7,863.99 points.

During the same period, the Borsa Istanbul Services Index rose by 2.63% to 7,565.84 points, the Technology Index increased by 3.92% to 10,223.88, and the Financial Index gained 0.65% to reach 7,895.14 points, while the Industrial Index decreased by 0.19% to 12,599.39 points.

Penta Technology Products Distribution was the stock with the highest gain on the BIST 100 index this week, with an increase of 15.71%. It was followed by Penta Technology Distribution with a 10.45% increase, Turkish Airlines with a 10.25% increase, and Emlak Konut Real Estate Investment Trust with a 10.25% increase.

Among these stocks, the ones that lost the most value were Bera Holding with a 10.51% decrease, VakıfBank with a 10.06% decrease, and Alfa Solar Enerji with a 9.11% decrease.

The most valuable companies with shares traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange were Koç Holding with 360 billion 604 million Turkish Liras, Turkish Airlines with 350 billion 865 million Turkish Liras, and Ford Otomotiv with 297 billion 922 million Turkish Liras.

The gram selling price of 24-carat gold bullion increased by 2.46% to 1,830 Turkish Liras this week, while the selling price of the Republic gold coin increased by 2.50% to 12,300 Turkish Liras.

The selling price of the dollar increased by 0.46% to 28.6980 Turkish Liras, and the selling price of the euro increased by 2.15% to 31.1840 Turkish Liras. The selling price of the British pound, which was 34.9440 Turkish Liras last week, increased by 2.26% to 35.7340 Turkish Liras this week.
