Fitch raises growth and inflation expectations in Turkey
The international credit rating agency Fitch has raised Turkey’s growth forecast for 2022 from 4.5 percent to 5.2 percent. According to Fitch, inflation will also close the year at 75 percent.
In Fitch’s report published yesterday, it was noted that Turkey would grow at the level of 2.9 percent in 2023 and 2024.
Fitch said it expected inflation in Turkey to continue rising for the next few months and then end the year at 75 percent.
The report also said that inflation will decline to 55 percent by the end of 2023 and 48 percent by the end of 2024.
