The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has announced the Housing Price Index data for the period of July 2022. Housing prices increased by 8 percent in July compared to the previous month and by 173.8 percent compared to the same period a year ago.

Calculated to monitor price changes in Turkey’s housing, free of the impact of quality (CFE), prices increased by 8 percent in July compared to the previous month and by 173.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Housing prices increased by 52.6 percent in real terms. Housing prices had increased by 160.6 percent year-on-year in June.

AVERAGE HOUSE PRICE IS 1 MILLION 393 THOUSAND TL

The price per square meter of a house in Turkey was found as 13 thousand 936 TL in July. Thus, the average price of a 100 square meter house was 1 million 393 thousand 600 TL throughout the country. The price per square meter of a house in Turkey was 13 thousand 140 TL in June, the average price of a 100 square meter house was 1 million 301 thousand 400 TL throughout the country.

HOUSING PRICES IN ISTANBUL HAVE INCREASED BY 3 FOLD IN A YEAR

Housing prices in Istanbul increased by 200.1 percent in July compared to the same month of the previous year. This increase was 181 percent in Ankara and 162.2 percent in Izmir. The highest increase in the country was in Antalya, Burdur, Isparta region with 214.6 percent.

The price per square meter of a house in Istanbul rose to 22 thousand 590 TL in July, to 9 thousand 944 TL in Ankara and to 16 thousand 231 TL in Izmir. Thus, the average price of a 100 square meter house rose to 2 million 259 thousand in Istanbul, 1 million 621 thousand in Izmir and 994 thousand 400 TL in Ankara.
