Foreign investors continued their strong interest in Turkish equities, purchasing $205 million worth of stocks during the week ending July 25. This brings total net stock purchases since the week of June 27 to around $1 billion.

According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), international investors have been steadily increasing their exposure to Turkish assets, particularly in the stock market.

There was also continued foreign interest in Turkish bonds. Excluding purchases made through the overseas branches of local banks, foreign investors made a net bond purchase of $106 million during the same week.

With this latest inflow, foreign investors have now recorded seven consecutive weeks of net bond buying — signaling growing confidence in Turkey’s financial markets.
