Forest fire in Bodrum

The forest fire in Bodrum which started in the morning and was barely controlled, started in the evening, again. The fire, which broke out in the bad forest area at about 05:00 in the morning at the Strawberry Street (Çilek Caddesi) location of the Yakakoy neighborhood in Bodrum was barely controlled in 6 hours. However it started again due to the wind at about 17:00.

Those in the vicinity who noticed the smoke and flames reported the situation to the fire department. Upon notification, a large number fire crews were dispatched to the area. Extinguishing works are continuing.

CREWS ARE CONTINUING COOLING WORK IN THE AREA

The fire, which broke out at about 05:00 in the morning in the ÇILEK Street area of the Yakakoy neighborhood. Those in the vicinity who noticed the smoke and flames reported the situation to the fire department. Upon notification, a large number of landowners and fire crews were dispatched to the area.

It was controlled with difficulty after 6 hours. However it started due to the wind at about 17:00 again. The fire was brought under control after intensive efforts by crews from land. Crews are continuing cooling work in the area.
