Forest fire in Çanakkale: Teams intervening from air and land

A fire broke out in a wooded area near the village of Kayadere, located in the central part of Çanakkale. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. After the situation was reported, a significant number of teams were dispatched to the region by the Çanakkale Regional Directorate of Forestry. Due to the influence of the wind, the teams initiated efforts to control the growing flames both from the air and the ground.

Despite the intervention of 30 air vehicle by the Çanakkale Governorship to combat the forest fire near the village of Kayadere, the fire exhibited a tendency to grow due to the impact of the wind. Meanwhile, precautionary evacuations were announced for the villages of Yağcılar, Aşağıokçular, Kalabaklı, Kızılcaören, and Taşlıtarla.

The flames were observed approaching Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and the state hospital campuses. Forest fires also erupted in Bursa and Bilecik. The teams dispatched to the region are intervening against the flames from both the air and the ground.
