Natural gas movement between Turkey, Greece and Italy will be increased based on a new gas transfer agreement between the three countries. Turkey approved and circulated the ITGI natural gas transportation project (The Interconnector Turkey- Greece-Italy) its official gazette on Tuesday. The project was proposed within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor to transport Caspian gas to European markets via Turkey

Thanks to this project it will be possible to improve and enhance gas transmission networks and contribute to developing gas trade among related countries.

Moreover this agreement will also make it possible for the three countries to contribute to other European markets as well. The agreement will provide liquidity in the gas market in Turkey, Greece and Italy and contribute to diversification of natural energy sources.
