Gaziantep is ready to host 10 thousand health tourists

Gaziantep, which has welcomed 15 thousand health tourists in the last 10 years, has strengthened its infrastructure and staff to become the center of Europe and the Middle East in this area. In the city, where public and private sector health investments are increasing rapidly, the number of organizations receiving health tourism authorization certificates has increased to 20. The city’s goal is to treat 10 thousand health tourists a year.

Gaziantep, which is the base of the Middle East in production and exports, is moving forward with the same goals in health tourism. In recent years, 65 new health facilities have been added to the city, where serious health investments have been made, by the public and private sectors. In the last 10 years, 15 thousand patients from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Germany, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Azerbaijan have been treated in the city. The shortcomings in health tourism have also been eliminated by the joint work of the public and private sectors. Middle East and Euope identified as target markets

Officials explain that they have identified the Middle East and Europe as their target markets. They also note following: “We will visit these countries and invite institutions and organizations with potential for our province. We will introduce them the health infrastructure and potential of our province.”
