Research shows quarterly inflation at 34 percent
A study by the United Public-Labor Confederation has found that food inflation has risen by 17.3 percent in March. According to the study, the increase in the first three months of the year was 33.9 percent. Annual inflation was calculated at 118.8 percent.
The Confederation had calculated inflation at 9 percent for January and 4.7 for February – 4.7 percent for February.
According to the research, cooking oil was the champion for March with 30.5 percent increase. Then came meat-fish with 30 percent. Inflation in bread/pasta approached 20 percent, while the increase in fruits and vegetables exceeded 10 percent.
