Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür once again drew attention to the Yedisu fault line, which was last broken in 1784, and said that a 7.4 magnitude earthquake could occur in Tunceli-Pülümür at any moment.

Görür participated in a program with Ilker Karagöz on FOX TV and pointed out the Yedisu fault line and the points located on this fault, saying, “There are places we are worried about”.

Görür, who previously made warnings about the Bingöl-Karlıova region in the programs he participated in and from his social media accounts, reiterated these warnings.

AN EARTHQUAKE BETWEEN MARMARA AND ERZINCAN KARLIOVA LIKELY

Görür said that they expected an earthquake on the Yedisu fault line at any moment, besides the Marmara earthquake, adding “We are waiting for an earthquake in the section between Marmara and Erzincan and Karlıova. On the Yedisu fault. There may be a 7.4 magnitude earthquake about where Tunceli-Pülümür is located. The last earthquake here was in 1784. So a lot of time has passed. The Erzincan earthquake may have probably transferred energy here as well. Movements on this Eastern Anatolian fault may also have slightly affected this place to a certain extent. This is one of the places we are worried about.“
