German tourism giant TUI says Turkey will see huge influx of tourists this year
It is likely that German citizens will be free to travel this summer. The government and tourism experts believe that travel restrictions will be lifted. The first tourism destination will be the Mediterranean. Experts say, “The German appetite for tourism has increased a lot, and one of the first places is Turkey. July-August will be full.”
Tourism professionals and German government seem to be on the same page as far as their predictions regarding the tourist movement this summer. They both comment that there will be a major influx to the Mediterranean this summer
Regarding the issue the President of the Association of German Travel Agents has said, “at Easter we will test people’s holiday desires and see developments here. From May, travel abroad will increase and the appetite for travel will explode again, especially in the summer.”
On the other hand an official of the German government responsible for tourism said “We believe there will be a boom in the summer” in an interview to press. He went on to say, “Of course, 2021 will still be a crisis year, but hopes are for the summer and the second half of the year.”
It is noted that the first trips which Germans have been waiting for with great longing, will take place within Europe and especially in the Mediterranean. The distant countries are expected to follow. German tourism giant TUI also noted that the statement of the minister of tourism is promising, which will have a positive impact on the entire tourism sector from start to finish.
