German Health Minister Jens SPAH

German Health Minister Jens SPAH has said they should protect their countries from possible new Covid-19 variants, describing the Tyrol region, Czechia and Turkey as “places that spread the virus variant.”

The Minister also drew attention the recent increase in the number of cases, referring to those who have infected Germany with the virus by traveling from other countries.

The Minister said to Euronews “We are behind the restrictions that were increased a week ago. We need to protect our country from possible new species of Covid-19. For this reason, with the decision we took on Thursday, we have taken the Tyrol region of Czechia, Turkey and Austria into the category of ‘places where there is a virus variant.”

Despite very strict measure the administration has applied since the beginning of the outbreak Germany seems to be far remote from the positive results the government has hoped to achieve against the prevailing epidemic all across the globe.
