Germany updates travel warning for Turkey, classifying it as high incidence area

TURKEY HIGH RISK AREA

The Robert Koch Institute has announced that it is adding Turkey to its list of high-risk countries again.

The Robert Koch Institute updated its list of coronavirus-at-risk areas on Friday, April 9. Accordingly, Turkey and Croatia were classified as “high incidence areas”. The travel warning for Israel has been lifted.

Turkey and Croatia, as well as Armenia and Ukraine, were added to the “high risk (incidence) countries”.

Malta, Latvia and Slovakia were removed from the list of “high risk (incidence) regions” and re-added to the category of “normal risk areas”.

A change has also been made to Spain. The Balearic Islands, which include popular holiday islands such as Mallorca and Ibiza, are not included in the category of risk zone, while the autonomous region of Extremadura, located on the border with Portugal, has been re-added to the list of “risk zone
