Global aviation sector coming together in Istanbul with 250 airlines and 3,000 executives

ROUTES WORLD ISTANBUL 2023

IGA Istanbul Airport, in collaboration with the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), is hosting the 28th Routes World event, considered one of the most significant events in the global aviation industry. Routes World, attended by over 3,000 high-level executives from leading airports and airlines in the industry, will discuss the future of aviation in a global context.

IGA Istanbul Airport, the gateway of Turkey to the world, is hosting thousands of executives, tourism delegates, and airline suppliers, including the presidents of the world’s leading airlines. This event is considered one of the most prestigious events in civil aviation worldwide.

MORE THAN 10,000 MEETINGS PLANNED AT THE EVENT

More than 10,000 meetings are planned to explore new route opportunities at the event, which will be held in Istanbul from October 15 to 17 with the participation of over 250 airline companies, including Turkish Airlines, Air France, easyJet, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, IndiGo, Japan Airlines, Qantas, and Wizz Air.

MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION AND MAYOR OF ISTANBUL WILL DELIVER SPEECHES

As part of Routes World 2023, an opening ceremony will take place at the Istanbul Exhibition Center, where Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and IGA Istanbul Airport Board Member Mehmet Kalyoncu will deliver opening speeches.

WHAT IS THE NEXT FUTURE OF ROUTE PLANNING?

The event will commence on Sunday, October 15th. Following the opening speech by IGA Istanbul Airport CEO Selahattin Bilgen, a panel titled “Istanbul is the New Cool” will be organized. Elif Balcı Fisunoğlu, Deputy General Manager of the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), and Selahattin Bilgen, CEO of IGA Istanbul Airport, will participate in the panel. On Sunday, October 15, during the event’s opening, Majid Khan, Director of Aviation Development at IGA Istanbul Airport, will also participate in a panel titled “What’s next in the future of route planning?”
