Gold brings highest rate of return among financial investment instruments, in November 2021

The Turkish Statistical Institute has announced the data on ‘Real Rates of Return on Financial Investment Instruments’ for November 2021. The highest monthly real return was in gold (bullion) 9.10 percent according to the domestic producer price index (YI-PPI) and 15.93 percent based on the consumer price index (CPI)

Based on YI-PPI, the BIST 100 index gained 6.69 percent, the American dollar gained 6.08 percent and the euro gained 4.28 percent, while the deposit interest (gross) lost 8.07 percent and Government Domestic Debt Securities (DIBS) lost 8.53 percent to its investor. When based on CPI, the BIST 100 index gained 13.37 percent, the American dollar gained 12.72 percent and the euro gained 10.81 percent for its investor; deposit interest (gross) lost 2.32 percent and DIBS lost 2.80 percent for its investor.
