Good Party announces decision for local elections: “We will enter election with our own team”

Meral Akşener has made very important statements in her speech in Afyonkarahisar, today. Reflecting on the lost elections, Akşener pointed to the mayors of Ankara and Istanbul, saying, “We didn’t just struggle against the ruling party members; we also fought against those who worked to lose this election. I realized that defeating the government at the polls wouldn’t be enough, but I couldn’t see that the real problem was within our own ranks.”

Without naming Kılıçdaroğlu, Akşener criticized him, saying, “We dealt with those who only cared about their seats.” Speaking about the upcoming local elections, Akşener announced that they would participate with their own team. She also called on all political parties to enter the elections separately.

AKSENER DREW ATTENTION TO GOVERNMENT’S ACTIVITIES SINCE ELECTIONS

Akşener began her speech by referring to the lost elections, emphasizing that 90 days have passed since the elections. She evaluated the government’s activities during this period. Drawing attention to the economic crisis, Akşener said, “The AK Party government is still reaching into the pockets to get the country out of the crisis it caused itself. Taxes, rents, and prices of basic food products are increasing every day, and they are making our people pay the price of inflation.”
