GREECE OPENS RHODES TO TOURISTS

Greece which has had a difficult time due to coronavirus, has rolled up its sleeves for tourism, one of the most important sources of income. People living on the islands (69-70 islands) which are very important for country’s income, were given priority in the vaccination process after which a group of 200 Dutch tourists arrived on Rhodes Island yesterday for a pilot example of “Covid Tourism”.

Greece where the number of cases and deaths has increased exponentially recently, has found the remedy to revitalize the tourism sector…

Acting to revive tourism, one of the most important sources of income, Greece has launched a new campaign called “Operation Freedom”. It was decided that people living on about 70 islands in the country should be given priority regarding the corona virus vaccine, as the Athens administration planned to open its doors to foreign tourists.

Greek Tourism Minister who announced that people living on all the islands would be vaccinated by the end of April, said that tourists from many countries, especially Britons, could also come to the region. Greece, which plans to open its doors to foreign tourists from mid-May, has announced that it will vaccinate tourism workers, taxi drivers, boat captains and bar staff living on the islands.
