Halkbank makes TL 2 billion profit in first quarter 2022

Halkbank made a net profit of 2 billion liras in the first quarter of the year.

According to Halkbank’s statement, the bank’s asset size at the end of March reached TL 965.3 billion, an increase of 39.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

Halkbank, which increased its total deposits by 42.8 percent to 673.2 billion liras, made a net profit of 2 billion liras in the first three months. The bank made a net profit of TL 1 billion 508 million in the whole of 2021, while its profit for the first three months was TL 59 million.

NOTE: HALKBANK has been accused on charges of conspiracy to violate ‘International Emergency Economic Powers Act’ by making money transfers to Iran, to defraud U.S. Banks and the U.S. banking etc. and is on trial in the USA. The process has been taken to the Supreme Court.
