Hatay Governor: State hospitals and police house were destroyed

Hatay Governor Rahmi Dogan said some buildings in the city were destroyed in the town due to 7.4 magnitude earthquake in PAZARCIK, Kahramanmaras adding “There are people who lost their lives, we have many injured.”

The governor also shared following: “The state hospitals in Iskenderun and Antakya were destroyed. The police station was also destroyed.” After the earthquake, CHP Deputy Chairman Seyit Torun said that the AFAD building in Hatay was also destroyed.

The Governor made the following statement as well: “There are ruined buildings in Antakya and Kırıkhan. The state hospitals in Iskenderun and Antakya were destroyed. The police station was also destroyed. There are ruins in the buildings where citizens lived. At the moment, we have set up a headquarters in the garden of the gendarmerie, we have gathered all the units here. We are trying to intervene there with the means we have. There is some trouble on the airport runway, There are problems landing planes. We coordinate activities with our existing facilities. There are people who have lost their lives, and we have many injured people.”
