Health Minister Fahrettin Koca says there are more than 1,500 newly identified patients today

The Minister has announced latest figures regarding the latest situation with the outbreak. In the past day, 24 people have died due to the corona virus, with a total loss of 6,163 lives.

A total of 98 thousand 231 tests were conducted today, while 502 new cases were identified and the total number of cases increased to 261,194. The Minister also stated that the total number of tests performed to date had reached 6 million 521 thousand 640. With 887 people recovering today, the total number of patients recovering has risen to 238,795.

The current data shown in the daily table showed that the rate of pneumonia in patients was 7.4 percent, while the total number of seriously ill patients was 811.

The Minister also noted that reducing the number of new patients is the most important goal of the struggle. He added that compliance with measures was essential to contribute to this goal. He said the virus would eventually be defeated.
