Health Minister: Masks will not be mandatory in public transport

In the last 24 hours, 905 new cases were identified. Health Minister Koca said, “When the number of cases is less than a thousand for 3 consecutive days, the use of masks will also be free, not mandatory, in public transport.”

The data on the latest situation in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic were shared by the Ministry of Health. Turkey’s daily coronavirus table for May 22, 2022 was announced. The amount of vaccines applied to date in Turkey has increased to 147 million 678 thousand 580 doses.

Osmaniye, Ordu, Amasya, Muğla, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, Eskişehir, Balıkesir, Manisa and Zonguldak were the 10 provinces with the highest proportion of those who had at least two doses of vaccine over the age of 18.

The provinces with the lowest proportion of those who received at least two doses of the vaccine were Sanliurfa, Batman, Siirt, Diyarbakir, Bingol, Muş, Mardin, Bitlis, Ağrı and Elazığ.
