Museums Week is celebrated every year from May 18 to May 24. Guests will be able to visit some museums for free this week. Which museums will be free of charge during this period? What time will the museums be open during museum week?

Museums are of great importance in cultural life as institutions that illuminate, preserve and transfer this world heritage to the future. In order to draw attention to, to increase interest and to integrate them into social life, a “Museum Week” event is organized every year. Museum Week is celebrated every year for a week starting from the 18th day of May, which is considered the “International Museums Day” by the International Council of Museums (ICOM).

Anatolia, described as the ”Cradle of Civilizations”, hosts dozens of priceless museums with a magnificent cultural heritage that it has hosted with its thousands of years of history.

On the occasion of the Museum Week celebrations, 39 museums have been identified that will be open until 23:00 at night and can be visited for free after the normal closing time.
