Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı has announced how many tourists enter Antalya on average per day. Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı stated that 25-30 thousand tourists a day had come to Antalya on weekdays and 40-45 thousand on weekends during the past month.

“We can get close to the figures of 2019”

Recalling that Antalya hosted about 15.6 million tourists in 2019 and 9 million in 2021, Ersin Yazıcı said: “If it were not for the unpleasant incident between Russia and Ukraine this year, the expectation was to exceed the figures of 2019. We will definitely exceed last year’s figures, we can also approach the figures of 2019.”

The share of Germans is close to 30 percent

Noting that 54 percent of the tourists who came to Antalya last year were citizens of Russia and Ukraine, Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı noted that 1 million 218 thousand visitors have come to Antalya so far, and the proportional distribution of these visitors is 29.5 percent German, 13.5 percent UK, 13 percent Russian, 6.4 percent Netherlands and 4 percent Poland.
