Hot air balloon tours cancelled in Cappadocia due to adverse weather conditions

Hot air balloon tours were cancelled this morning due to adverse weather conditions in the Cappadocia region, which is the capital of Turkey’s major tourist centers and balloon tours around the world. “Hot air balloon tours have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions in the Cappadocia region,” a statement by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said.

Since February 27, hot air balloon tours in Cappadocia can not be conducted due to adverse weather conditions.

It is known that especially foreign tourists visiting the region show great interest in balloon tours. Thus, pictures and videos of balloon tours are shared on many social media accounts which in return contribute to promotion of the region as well as Turkey.

There are quite a few balloon tour companies operating in the region and we strongly suggest that those interested in said tours inquire properly first about which companies are most reputable and reliable.
