If activist & businessman Kavala not released by 29 November 2021, Council of Europe (EU) may start sanction process

The Gezi Park actions case, combined with the Çarşı case in which civil society and human rights activist businessman Osman Kavala was detained, will be continued on November 26.

This hearing has a historical significance because the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe will hold a session on November 30.

If Kavala is not evicted in accordance with the decision of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) until this session, the Committee is expected to begin the sanctions procedure against Turkey.
