Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the flu vaccine application for all citizens aged 65 and older, as well as for those under 65 with chronic illnesses, is commencing according to the regular schedule.

Minister Koca made the following statement on his social media account:

“Starting from September 15th, the flu vaccine program for all citizens aged 65 and older, as well as for patients under 65 with chronic illnesses, will begin according to the regular schedule. The flu vaccine reduces the risk of contracting the flu and alleviates the severity of the disease. Influenza can lead to complications such as pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, and ear infections, especially in individuals aged 65 and older and those with chronic illnesses. Let’s make sure to get our flu vaccines. You can consult your doctor to get a prescription.”

This initiative aims to protect vulnerable populations, especially the elderly and those with underlying health conditions, from the flu, which can have severe consequences for these groups.
