ITTurkey has been going through a very rapid change in all walks of life including technology.

Accordingly, the information technology sector is expected to see record growth in Turkey this year based on a report by a leading research and consulting firm.

The market for information technologies in the country will grow by 15 percent this year, according to Deloitte’s Electronic Information and Trends report.

The report also said mobile traffic would increase 66-fold in the next five years. The services and software market still has a small share compared to the hardware market in Turkey, where the gap will continue to grow due to significant increases in value-added offerings, unlike in other emerging economies, the report said.

The total share of the electronic communications market in Turkey, excluding traditional radio and TV broadcasting, rose 3.2 percent last year to $27.3 million, according to the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO).

The report also said the sector was expected to grow 7.2 percent this year to reach a value of $29.3 million.
