Internet users in Turkey complain about insufficient quality provided by service providers

Internet is widely spread in Turkey and there are tens of millions that use this service for most of their needs on a daily basis. The situation with mobile phones is no different, meaning Turkish people adopt new Technologies real fast. However, the quality of the services provided in Turkey does not exactly match this performance.

According to a survey, Turkey ranked 120th among countries with fastest internet in the world. This is despite the fact that citizens pay a considerably high fee for the internet every month, especially after the fair use quota is abolished.

According to a research made by a prominent newspaper, Turkey became the 102nd country in the world with fast internet. Internet speed in Turkey is worse than in countries such as Belize, Indonesia, Bahrain and Qatar.

According to a survey among 207 countries, Turkey’s best output time internet speed was 5.27 mbps.

A 7.5 percent private communication tax is levied on fixed internet service in Turkey.
