Istanbul Chamber of Industry announces list for Turkey’s 500 largest companies

The results of the “2022 Research on Turkey’s 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises,” prepared by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), have been announced. TÜPRAŞ maintained its title as the largest industrial organization with sales of 418.4 billion Turkish liras. Star Refinery, which was ranked third in 2021, rose to second place with 189.2 billion Turkish liras in sales, while Ford Otomotiv, which was in second place last year, ranked third with sales of 140.1 billion Turkish liras.

ISO President Erdal Bahçıvan announced the results of the ISO’s research on Turkey’s 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises at a press conference.

According to the research, TÜPRAŞ secured the top spot on the list with sales of 418.4 billion Turkish liras, while Star Refinery, which was ranked third in 2021, rose to second place with 189.2 billion Turkish liras. Ford Otomotiv, which was in second place last year, ranked third with sales of 140.1 billion Turkish liras.

Istanbul Gold Refinery (İAR) ranked fourth with sales of 87.8 billion Turkish liras, followed by Ereğli Iron and Steel with 69.5 billion Turkish liras and İskenderun Iron and Steel with 66.9 billion Turkish liras. The notable point was the two-step rise of İAR and Ereğli Iron and Steel in the rankings.

Toyota Otomotiv ranked seventh with 65.9 billion Turkish liras, Arçelik eighth with 64.1 billion Turkish liras, Oyak-Renault ninth with 62.7 billion Turkish liras, and Tofaş tenth with 59.8 billion Turkish liras. Toyota fell three places, while Arçelik, Oyak-Renault, and Tofaş maintained their positions in the rankings.
