Istanbul Stock Market starts the day at a record high

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a record high, an increase of 1.55 percent to 3,907.43 points.

At the opening, the BIST 100 index gained 59.81 points and 1.55 percent compared to the previous close, reaching an all-time high of 3,907.43 points. The banking index increased by 5.89 percent and the holding index increased by 1.1 percent. While all sector indices started the day with a rise, banking was the biggest gainer.

The BIST 100 index had broken a closing record by completing the day with a gain of 6.08 percent at 3,847.62 points with the spread of purchases that strengthened yesterday, led by banking shares.
