2 tourists in the hot air balloon that had to make an emergency landing due to the wind in Nevsehir have lost their lives, with 3 tourists injured. In a statement made by the Nevşehir Governorship it said, “A total of 28 passengers and 2 crew members were in the balloon and during the landing, 2 passengers of Spanish nationality lost their lives, while 3 passengers of Spanish nationality were injured.

According to the initial determinations, it is estimated that the incident was caused by an unexpected wind increase. A judicial and administrative investigation has been launched in connection with the accident.”
