Jet2 says Turkey fastest-growing tourism destination among its destinations in last five years
The British tour operator stated that its flight programs to Turkey had increased by 200% since 2018. The company, which also offers package holiday programs, stated that the increase in flight frequency, the extension of the seasons, and the addition of Izmir as a new stop in 2019 had contributed to the rising demand.

According to the company, couples and families mostly prefer Turkey as their destination.

A spokesperson for the Jet2holidays company stated in a press release that they wanted to measure why tourists were making choices in this direction due to Turkey being the fastest-growing holiday center.
26% of the participants in the survey stated that they wanted to visit Turkey due to recommendations from their relatives, while 21% chose Turkey because of its affordable prices. 53% of those who answered the company’s questions stated that Turkey had the best historical and cultural heritage in the world, while 44% said that the best beaches were in Turkey.
However, according to a survey conducted by the research company OnePoll on behalf of Jet2holidays, only 44% of the participants could correctly identify the capital city as Ankara.
