Journalist shares forecast for next presidential candidate after President Erdogan

YENICAG newspaper writer Orhan UGUROGLU stated that President and AKP leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan could not be elected president for a third time; President Chief Advisor Mehmet Uçum responded to his statements on this issue in today’s column.

In an article in his column the journalist raised the question; “Since Erdogan cannot be a candidate, who would he nominate as a candidate of the AKP or the Cumhur (Republic) Alliance?”

He said, “BERAT ALBAYRAK (President Erdogan’s son-in-law and former Treasury Minister became the target of a negative propaganda regarding US$ 128 billion spent from Central Bank reserves and thus lost his chance . On the other hand mafia leader PEKER’s allegations on Youtube have put BINALI YILDIRIM (last PM) and SULEYMAN SOYLU (Interior Minister) in a very difficult situation in the eyes of the public . As for DEVLET BAHCELI (leader of MHP and ERODGAN’s partner in Cumhuriyet Alliance) he has already given up on the idea of being in power.

The journalist went on to say: “I will share the name most mentioned name in the AKP lobbies: MEVLUT CAVUSOGLU, Turkey’s Foreign Minister. This politician is undoubtedly an important name in terms of relations between the United States, Russia and the European Union. But to tell the truth, no matter who the Cumhur (Republic) Alliance nominates the AKP will lose power.”
