Kremlin looks positively at President Erdogan’s idea of a trilateral summit on Syria

Russia has announced that Kremlin has a positive view of the idea of establishing a trilateral mechanism between Turkey, Russia and Syria on Syria Dec, as suggested by Erdogan.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov expressed that they looked very positively at the idea of a trilateral meeting between the leaders of Turkey, Syria and Russia.

Bogdanov also stated that they had contacted the Syrian side directly after the proposal and said, “We are currently in contact with our Syrian friends. We always welcome what will be done for the normalization of relations between neighboring countries. We have repeatedly stated this at every level.”

On the other hand, President Erdogan answered journalists’ questions on the plane yesterday during his return from Kazakhstan. Erdogan said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a positive view of the summit proposal, which will also be attended by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
