List of the best cities in the world in 2022 announced: Two cities from Turkey
The international research company Euromonitor has announced the best cities of 2022 around the world. Two cities from Turkey are also included in Euromonitor International’s list of the Top 100 Cities in the World.
Paris took the first place in the list of the top 100 cities determined according to 57 different criteria such as tourism, sustainability, infrastructure, health and safety and economic performance. Dubai, Amsterdam and Madrid were the other cities in the first places.
Rome, London, Munich, Berlin and Barcelona were in the top 10, while New York was the only city from the USA to enter the top 10 ranking. Los Angeles ranked 14th while Edinburgh, which Time Out magazine chose as the best city of this year, was only 54th in the Euromonitor list.
In said list Istanbul ranked 25th while Antalya took the 64th place.
Euromonitor pointed out that tourism and travel had revived with the slowdown of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2022.
