The Aydin Metropolitan Municipality Pet Care and Rehabilitation Center in Kirazlı district was disinfected by teams working in the cleaning works department of the municipality.

Kuşadası Municipality continues its struggle against coronavirus which emerged in Wuhan, China and spread in Turkey, along with the world. In this context, the municipality did not forget the stray animals when conducting disinfecting work in town.

Teams in the “Cleaning Works Directorate” of the Municipality disinfected Aydin Metropolitan Municipality Pet Care and Rehabilitation Center located in KIRAZLI neighborhood. The sections where the animals remained and the paddock areas were washed by officials with a special solution of 80-degree sparkling water.

Stating that they had started a wide-scale fight against the risk of coronavirus in the district, CHP mayor Ömer Günel of Kuşadası said, “We are doing all necessary work to protect the health of our citizens from the first day of the epidemic in our country. According to the circular sent by the Ministry of Interior to the governorship of 81 provinces in Turkey, the shelter where our dear friends are staying was disinfected by the cleaning works Directorate. We also continue to distribute food through the “Pigeon Desk” (Güvercin Masa / Help Desk) unit to stray animals fed from restaurants and cafeterias, whose activities have been temporarily halted due to coronavirus. Our animal-loving friends residing in Kuşadası should be comfortable about this issue. Our most loyal friends are in safe hands”.
