POLL SHOWS NATION ALLIANCE LEADING

According to the latest polls conducted by one of the reputable research firms in Turkey, support for the Nation Alliance is ahead of support for the Public Alliance.

The director of said research company evaluated findings based on a most recent survey and drew attention to the fact there was a systematic decline in votes of AK Party

According to the survey conducted by MAK Research Co in October (2021) among the reasons AK Party votes keep declining the economy in the country seems to the major reason.

However, the director of said company also drew attention to a more vital point for the ruling party. He particularly emphasized the main danger for AK Party as follows:

In the past, when supporters of AK Party did not vote for AK Party that is when AK Party votes declined,  this was mostly to protest etc and they did not go to rival parties. They simply did not use their votes for instance in a specific election.

Now however many of those supporters who are not pleased with AK Party for one reason or the other do not stay loyal to their party and go to new addresses such as IYI (Good) Party (chaired by Meral Aksener), Deva Party (chaired by Ali Babacan, former Deputy PM and Finance Minister in AK Party Governments) and Gelecek Partisi (Future Party chaired by Davutoğlu, former PM in AK Party Government).

In fact based on survey results it is observed that 2 out of every 4 voters wil to the Good Party and 1 to Deva and Future parties each. This clearly shows many AK Party voters get off the AK Party train and get on the train of the opposition bloc.

The most recent picture says the AK Party is settled in the 30 percent band and when the undecided ones are distributed, it can only reach 32 percent.

CHP (main opposition party) on the other hand seems to have reached the 25 percent band and the Good Party is also in the 14 percent band.

HDP (pro-Kurdish) is observed to be somewhere round 10 percent (which is the threshold) with DEVA and FUTURE Parties totaling up to over 5 percent very comfortably. MHP on the other hand hardly seems to reach the vote good enough to pass the threshold of 10 percent.

Just to note, DEVA is in an upward trend and seems to be increasing its votes, swiftly and the FUTURE Party is of interest to Kurdish voters who prefer to leave AK Party.

Judging on the final picture therefore, it could be said the votes of the Nation’s Alliance seems to be exceeding votes of the Republic Alliance quite easily.

The President must be aware of this picture which is not very pleasant for him and he must surely be thinking about how to get out of this mission impossible situation.
