SIX PARTY TABLE IN TURKEY

CHP Chairman KILICDAROGLU has said that parties at the six-party table are working on which alliances they should enter elections to get more deputy chairs in the parliament.

While the election of the President and the Assembly is only 13 months away, both the government and the opposition are continuing their electoral work. The CHP, the GOOD Party, the Future, DEVA, Felicity and the Democratic Party had come together to talk about and realize transition to the parliamentary system.

Although there is no presidential candidate that the parties have agreed on yet, different scenarios are on the agenda to be able to have more deputies in the parliament to be elected.

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan announced that his party would participate in the Assembly election under its own logo, but they would support the joint presidential candidate.

Temel Karamollaoglu of the Felicity Party mentioned the possibility of a third alliance (within the opposition Nation’s Alliance)

WHICH PARTY SHOULD ENTER ELECTION UNDER WHICH ALLIANCE AND IN WHICH CITY

Speaking to CUMHURIYET newspaper, KILICDAROGLU talked about the third alliance scenario discussed at the six-party table: “The parties in the parliamentary alliance are now investigating the following: Which party should enter the elections in which alliance, in which province to have a higher chance of winning more deputies? The parties are working on this; so are we. In order to achieve a healthy result, we will proceed from the results of surveys that each of us will conduct independently in the provinces. None of this has been done yet. It is necessary to finalize the calculations of how many deputies possible alliances will bring to our parties. Then this data will come to the table, we will sit down, talk and make decisions.”

The main opposition leader also said that there was no point in announcing the joint presidential candidate in advance and this would be discussed when the election was announced.
