Maserati “MC Strade” Model on Sale in Turkey in May.

FerMas, the distributor of Italian luxurious sports car producer Maserati, will put to sale “MC Strade” model in Turkey in May. A FerMas statement said it would import only two 450 HP “MC Stradale” to Turkey, and price of the car would be at least 300,000 Euro.  Defined as the fastest, lightest and most powerful Maserati car, “GranTurismo MC Stradale” is able to go past the 300 km/h mark.

Russians coming for talks

Meanwhile, a group of automotive dealers from Russia and Tatarstan is set to pay a visit to Turkey next week to explore trade opportunities.

The group, headed by Tatarstan’s Industry and Commerce Minister Ravil Hammatovic Zaripov, will meet representatives from Turkish automotive sector in Istanbul and in the northwestern province of Bursa, a major hub for automotive manufacturing in Turkey.

Russia has substantial investments in the automotive sector in Tatarstan.

Last year Russia manufactured a total of 1.2 million vehicles. The country is one of the major markets for Turkish automotive exports.

Turkey’s automotive industry aims at between $22 billion and 23 billion of exports in 2011, a sectoral association said on Friday.

Ömer Burhanoğlu, the deputy chairman of Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association, said that the automotive industry raised its exports by 16 percent to $17.3 billion in 2010.

“We aim to raise our exports to between $22 billion-$23 billion this year,” he told the Anatolia news agency.
