HOT WEATHER IN TURKEY

Meteorology has announced that the extreme temperatures are due to the African heat that entered our country two days ago. It was stated that the heat will continue until August 20.

Due to the temperatures that have started to show their effect in Diyarbakir, the Meteorology Regional Directorate has warned the citizens. The seasonally moving temperatures began to increase their effect as of last Monday across the country.

The Chief of the Regional Forecast and Warning Center at the Regional Directorate, stated that the temperatures that were above seasonal norms would continue until August 20.

He stated that the temperatures had been 4 degrees above the seasonal norm in the last few days due to the African temperatures in the city and said, “Recently, the well-known air temperatures have generally increased in our country. We have started to feel the impact of these temperature increases in our region as well. Temperatures have been hovering around 42-43 degrees in Diyarbakir for about two days. While the temperatures have been above the seasonal norm in the previous days, we see that these few days they have been 4 degrees above the seasonal norm. We expect that these temperatures will also probably continue until the 20th of August in the region. The highest temperature in Diyarbakır already starts on July 15th as a month and continues until August 20th.
