Meteorology announces yellow and orange code warning for 26 provinces

The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has warned 23 provinces with the code yellow and three provinces with the code orange. Precipitation in the specified areas is expected to be strong.

According to the MGM daily forecast report, a fragmented, sometimes very cloudy weather is expected to prevail throughout the country.

Local rainfall showers and thunderstorms are expected in these areas: east of Marmara region, the Mediterranean, south and east of Central Anatolia, Black Sea, north and west of eastern Anatolia, Southeast Anatolia to the West, Kütahya, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Eskişehir and Ankara and Çankırı provinces.

Precipitation is expected to be strong in the Western Black Sea coast, Eastern Mediterranean, southern and eastern Central Anatolia, inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea, Sakarya, Kocaeli, Isparta, Erzincan and Ardahan, eastern Burdur, inland parts of Antalya, north of Kars and Erzurum, north-west of Tunceli and Malatya.

It is expected that there will be no significant change in air temperature, it will be two to four degrees below seasonal norms in the Western Black Sea and Central Anatolia, and in other places it will be around seasonal norms.
