Meteorology directorate announces heavy snow expected in Istanbul starting Sunday

The cold weather in Istanbul is expected to further increase its impact in the coming days. Meteorology said in a statement, the temperature values will drop further over the weekend especially. The report also said snow was expected across the city, on Sunday.

There is no doubt that life is affected quite badly when there is snow in Istanbul. Traffic in particular becomes more of a challenge.

Certainly the tourists and visitors who come to wander round the city also have a more difficult time.

Having said this on the other hand the municipality has taken all necessary measures to cope with an eventual heavy snowfall.
