Meteorology Issues Yellow Code Warning for 4 Provinces: Heavy Showers Expected in the Aegean, Storm in the Marmara

According to the latest forecast from the General Directorate of Meteorology: The northern, central, and western parts of the country are expected to be partly cloudy with many clouds, while the western Marmara, the Aegean (except for Afyonkarahisar), and the areas around Bursa and Yalova are expected to have intermittent heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The other regions are expected to be mostly clear with few clouds. Rain is expected to be locally heavy in the coastal Aegean, the Çanakkale region, and the western districts of Balıkesir. In the north, central, and eastern parts of the country, frost, fog, and occasional mist are expected.

MARMARA

The region will be mostly cloudy, with intermittent heavy rain and thunderstorms expected in the western parts, as well as around Bursa and Yalova. The rain is expected to be locally heavy in the Çanakkale area and the western districts of Balıkesir. The wind will be strong (40-60 km/h) coming from the north and northeast.

The wind will be strong (40-60 km/h) from the south and southeast along the coast. Fog and mist are expected in the inland areas in the morning.
