Meteorology warns: Air temperatures will drop by 2 to 4 degrees

General Directorate of Meteorology Weather Forecaster has announced that air temperatures will drop by 2 to 4 degrees by the weekend in the northern and inland parts of Turkey. Despite the temperature drop in weather forecasts, temperatures will remain above seasonal norms.

Pointing out that the air temperatures are above the seasonal norms throughout the country, a weather forecaster of the General Directorate of Meteorology said, “We expect a decrease in the northern and inland parts of the country in the coming days. There will be a decrease of 2 to 4 degrees in the east of Marmara, the entire Black Sea region, the Central Anatolia Region, and there will be no decrease in temperature in other places. Even if these decreases occur, air temperatures will continue to be above seasonal norms throughout the country in the coming days in general.”

THERE IS PRECIPITATION IN MOST OF THE COUNTRY

The Forecaster who also gave information about the precipitation, stated that there was an expectation of precipitation in most of the country today.

Expressing that they predicted that the rains would be effective in Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Izmir, Manisa, Aydın, Muğla provinces, the Forecaster said, “We want our citizens living in these provinces to be careful against the negativity caused by effective downpours. When we look at the weekend, we expect on and off rainfall to continue in the northern parts of the country as of the weekend.”

FOG AND HAZE TO BE SEEN

In the other part of the country, no precipitation is expected on the weekend.

“During the night and morning hours of the weekend, we are expecting fog and haze events in the coming days. We will continue to see the fog and haze event in the inner and eastern parts of the country, east of the Marmara, the entire inner Aegean, the Lakes Region, the entire Central Anatolia region, the inner parts of the Black Sea region and the west of the Eastern Anatolia Region, for a period of 3 days.

As of the season, it is quite normal to have fog and haze events. When there are fog and haze incidents, disruptions occur in both land transportation, sea transportation and air transportation. Therefore, we want our citizens, especially our drivers, to be careful about disruptions in land, sea and air transportation.”
