MIGROS CARREFOURSA MAKE DISCOUNTS IN PRICES

Migros which was fined TL 518 million as part of the Competition Authority’s “exorbitant price” investigation, announced that the relevant amount would be paid using a 25 percent early payment discount. The company’s statement to KAP also said that a lawsuit will be filed for the cancellation of the decision within 60 days.

Migros, which is among the five chain markets that the Competition Authority has decriminalized as part of its ‘exorbitant price’ investigation, announced that it would benefit from an early payment discount.

“The relevant amount will be paid within 30 days as 388 million 254 thousand 572 TL by taking advantage of the early payment discount of 25 percent, provided that we reserve our rights to all kinds of objections and lawsuits”, Migros said in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

THE COMPANY WILL FILE A LAWSUIT

In a statement made to KAP today, it was stated that a lawsuit would be filed to cancel the decision in the Ankara Administrative Courts within 60 days, and the developments related to the issue would be announced to the public within the framework of the relevant regulations.

In October 2021, the Competition Authority had issued administrative fines totaling TL 2.6 billion to BIM, Carrefoursa, Migros, A101 and SOK.
