Millions of tenants and landlords are affected: Available on e-Government starting today

The service for drafting rental agreements through the e-Government Gateway has been launched for public use as of today. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that the work on drafting rental agreements via e-Government has been completed, and the first phase of the service is now active.
e-Government users aged 18 and over will be able to use this service. In the initial phase, property owners will prepare the agreement through the “Rental Agreement Transactions” section on the e-Government Gateway, and tenants will approve the agreement via e-Government.
The service can also be used for properties with up to 10 co-owners, allowing more citizens to create rental agreements through e-Government.
“Barcode Document” System
Created rental agreements will be saved as “barcode documents” with a time stamp. Users will be able to verify documents through the e-Government Gateway.
Second Phase by Year-End
The second phase of the service is planned to be implemented by the end of the year. In this phase, real estate consultants and authorized individuals will be included in the preparation and approval process for rental agreements.
This initiative was introduced in response to citizens’ requests for solutions to rental disputes. It also aims to relieve tenants and landlords of the burden of submitting rental agreements to various institutions. Additionally, the data collected from these agreements is intended to contribute to the creation of Turkey’s Real Estate Value Map.
Minister Şimşek stated that this service would benefit all parties and allow agreements to be made quickly, easily, and securely.
