Minister Işıkhan: 16 Medications, Including Five Cancer Drugs, Added to the Reimbursement List
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that 16 medications, including five cancer drugs, have been added to the reimbursement list.
The Minister’s statement on X (formerly Twitter) was as follows: “With the regulation published in the Official Gazette; We have added 16 drugs, including five cancer drugs, to the reimbursement list. We have increased the number of medications that family doctors can prescribe under reimbursement, and extended the prescription duration for many medications.
We have also increased the number of medications for which family doctors and internal medicine specialists can issue reports. I hope these medications bring healing to our patients, and I wish all our citizens a healthy life.”
Some of the medications included are for the following conditions:
- Resistant multiple myeloma, prostate, and skin cancer
- Advanced-stage chronic kidney failure
- Genetic peripheral neurological disorders
- Autism spectrum disorder in children
- Schizophrenia, HIV-1 infection, and venous insufficiency
